WIP – Barn Owl
It’s that time of year again…5 weeks to go until the Greenock Art Club Summer Sale and I’m trying to get some pieces together. Every year I aim for 4 pieces of beautifully finished and framed work and every year I fail miserably.
This art lark isn’t as easy as it’s cracked up to be. Working full time in a creative job definitely takes it’s toll. I honestly struggle to pick up a paint brush and get started. It’s easy to fall into the trap of only working when you feel creative. I can turn it on at work, no matter what the time pressure, so why not at home?
This year, starting now, I’m going to aim to do a little every evening, well, most evenings, even if it’s just a few doodles in a sketch pad. So let’s see how that goes…
