And so it begins…

The summer exhibition is over and now the next milestone is preparing for the annual exhibition, which starts on 28th Sept.

I have been with Greenock Art Club for several years now and have never managed to get anything prepared for the big exhibition…or perhaps I have just chickened out. It’s a scary thing, putting your artwork out there for everyone to see.

I’m a graphic designer in ‘real life’ and for some reason, critisism isn’t an issue in that role, in fact, it’s part of the job. However, artwork is a whole other ball game. There’s something about exhibiting a piece of work, which has been produced purely for myself, which makes me feel just a little bit vulnerable.

Still, all things considered, if I ever want to sell work or even think about making a career of it…the personal exposure starts here!
